What it tracks

The things a co-lender actually needs to know

Built from real co-lending paperwork: facility agreements with several tranches, interest reserves, extensions and restatements. It records what the documents say, so you are not piecing it together from email threads.

Inception to maturity

Track each loan from drawdown to repayment

Drawdown date, extensions and restatements, and a countdown to maturity. See what ends this month and what has run past its date.

Portfolio

Build a portfolio across every deal

Each participation on one line, with total lent, average rate weighted by capital, annual income and yield for the whole book.

Documents

Your documents in one place

How it works

From paperwork to a clear book

Three steps, and you only do the first one once per loan.

Step 1

Add each participation

Enter your capital, rate, payment frequency, drawdown date and term, and say whether it is held in your name, jointly or by a company.

Step 2

See the whole portfolio

Totals, average rate, annual income and yield update straight away, with each loan's countdown to maturity.

Step 3

Keep it current

When a loan is extended, restated, transferred or repaid, update it in a minute and file the new document with it. The history stays with the loan.

A lender's obligations in Jersey

Lending "as a business" in or from Jersey is Schedule 2 business under the Proceeds of Crime (Jersey) Law 1999. It must be registered with the JFSC before any money is lent. There is no minimum loan size or number of loans.

When lending counts as a business
  • The JFSC looks for: security, guarantees or a lien; interest charged; commercial terms with an end date; loans that are frequent or part of a commercial deal; and an aim to make a profit.
  • A broker or arranger being involved, and security being taken, are "highly indicative". A single loan can be enough.
  • Individuals are no longer exempt. Loans within a family, and one-off loans between companies in the same group, are out of scope.
  • A Jersey company must register even if it lends only outside Jersey.
  • No guidance yet covers co-lending through a security agent. The security agent's own registration covers the security agent, not the co-lenders.
What a registered lender must do
  1. Register on the myJFSC portal, keep to any conditions, and report changes of directors, controllers or officers.
  2. Write a business risk assessment and policies, approved by the board, and review them every year.
  3. Appoint a Money Laundering Compliance Officer and a Money Laundering Reporting Officer, and tell the JFSC within one month.
  4. Identify and verify every borrower, its owners and guarantors before lending; record the purpose of the loan; monitor it until repaid.
  5. Carry out extra checks for politically exposed and higher-risk borrowers, including their source of wealth and funds.
  6. Rely on another firm's checks only with its written assurance. You stay responsible.
  7. Screen borrowers against sanctions lists, report breaches, and file an asset-freezing report by 31 March each year.
  8. Report suspicions to the Financial Intelligence Unit, and never tip anyone off.
  9. Keep records for at least 5 years after each loan ends.
  10. Screen and train anyone working on the lending, and tell the JFSC at once of any material failure.
  11. Pay the annual fee, answer JFSC risk data requests, and register with the Information Commissioner.
Individual or company
  • The core duties are the same for both.
  • An individual working alone is both compliance and reporting officer, and needs fewer internal policies.
  • A company's board owns the risk assessment and controls, appoints both officers at senior level, and every director and controller is vetted as fit and proper.
  • Lending personally and through a company means two separate lenders, each needing registration.
  • 2026 JFSC fees: individual £205 to apply and £555 a year; company £555 and £1,175 a year.
The local lending exemption

Since 3 September 2025 a lighter regime applies when the lender and every borrower are Jersey-resident, the lender does not advertise, and all money moves through a Jersey bank. The lender still registers, carries out due diligence and assesses each borrower's risk. It does not need officers, full policies or staff training, and pays no annual fee.
